Unfortunately, our June Cars & Coffee meeting was
canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, July is
looking promising.
On Memorial Day the Cars & Coffee Group, The
Motorcycle Club, the 4 x 4 Club, and the Golf Cart group,
along with personnel from the Banning Police Department
and the Beaumont Fire Department, paraded through
the Lakes Assisted Living & Memory Care Community
in Banning. The procession began at the Four Seasons
Lodge Parking lot at 10:30 am, where approximately 50
cars, trucks, motorcycles, and golf carts began to meet.
We left the parking lot around 11 am and made our
way to The Lakes. A huge thanks to several members
of the Motorcycle Club who conducted traffic control
and ensured the safety of all vehicles as we proceeded
to the Lakes. When we arrived, we were greeted by the
residents with banners, posters, and cheers. It was a very
emotional and touching experience. Because we were all
overwhelmed by the reception we received I am sure that
this will become an annual event for us. A special thanks
to Rick Morales from Cars & Coffee, Lori Matsushita,
Executive Director, and Natalie Thompson, Coordinator
at the Lakes for overseeing this fantastic event.
