FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2020 49 Pool Volleyball We are making progress as we have gone from "pool closed," to "one person per pool" and are currently at "one person per lane." OMG will this virus ever end?!? Better to be safe and observe social distancing but hopefully, before summer is over, we will have an opportunity to play. If you would like to be added to the pool volleyball roster, please email Barbara at babsmiller80@gmail.com. ~ Barbara Miller Our most recent 4x4 trip is my new favorite trail. 1N12 from Hwy. 38 to Angelus Oaks. It's an easy, well-maintained trail. There is a steep climb up to 5,000+ feet with some cliff side driving, which makes for some spectacular views. Then we made a partial second loop and headed west, down to the Santa Ana River for lunch. This part of the river is behind the Seven Oaks Dam that you can see from Mentone. There is good water flow for cooling off and fishing within about an hour from home. It's a worthwhile trip for some great exploring. Welcome to our new members, Joe and Cindy Bert and Dave Coffin and Candi Epperson. This was their first trip with the Four Seasons 4x4 Club. Anyone not in the club who lives here and has a four wheel drive vehicle that they don't mind getting dirty and maybe a little desert pinstriped, is welcome to come to our monthly meetings. The meetings are the first Tuesday of the month (COVID-19 permitting), 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. The official club outing is on the following Thursday. Prior to our excursion, we meet at The Lodge at 7:45 am and roll out at 8 am. Hope to see you there. ~ Scott Snyder, scottdonaldsnyder@gmail.com 4x4 Seasons Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. But as I'm writing this article in early June things are starting to open up. I have gotten a few calls asking me when will we start playing again. Nothing definite, but maybe late June or early July. We will have to wait and see. When we do start playing I hope to see some new faces out there on the courts. Bocce Ball is played at The Summit on Tuesday and Friday at 9 am. Everyone is welcome. If you have any questions, contact Hank Negrete at (909) 747-7087 or Greg Stilson at (951) 267-1551. ~ Hank Negrete, hanknegrete16@yahoo.com Bocce Ball
