20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2020 | We were so grateful for the class we held on June 2. Of course, there were new rules in place for health purposes. We will continue with those rules until we are told otherwise. We did hold class telephonically during the quarantine period and had a good turnout. If we learned anything during this time, it was that friendships are the glue that holds us together. We are a very social group and we consider it therapy to be together. If you don't strength train now, come join the fun. We enjoy this time together and laughter abounds in the class and in the Bistro (coffee break). By the way – WE ARE A FREE CLASS! We meet in The Lodge Ballroom at 7:30 am every Tuesday and Thursday. If you have questions regarding this class, please call: Jeanne Lincoln at 765-7112, Char Weakley at 926-2599 or Joyce Kerns at 325-8840. Strong Adults Stay Young (SASY) Come join us for Zumba, Zumba! If you like to dance come have fun with us! Zumba Gold is a great cardio workout designed for our age group and is easy to do. Our Certified Fitness Instructor Shannon Ramsey changes up the routines and music weekly. No prior experience is necessary… it's that easy! Zumba Gold Cardio & Strength All our exercise classes, offered by Shannon Ramsey, are now "Silver Sneakers," "Silver & Fit" and "Optum" certified. That means that if you have one of these programs as a benefit of your supplemental Medicare insurance, you can take these classes for FREE! If you do not have this benefit, you can still take the classes for $4/class or purchase a punch card for $35/10 classes (which can be used on all classes offered). All classes are offered with lower impact and chair options. Come try these classes. Shannon's certifications include AFAA, AEA, SPIN, RIPPED, ZUMBA, Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, Optum, and CPR/First Aid. exercise with a certified instructor "Walk-Fit" Exercise Club We are back in action! Walk Fit has resumed with a few restrictions: social distancing, masks recommended and bring your own weights and bands (optional). It is so wonderful to be with our classmates once again. Summertime is here and the days are warming up fast. If your outside exercise routine is getting difficult in the heat, why not give our "indoor" class a try. It is cool in The Lodge Ballroom. We enjoy seeing new faces and hope you will join us. It is our goal to get Four Seasons residents moving. The class consists of eight different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" dvds. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varying tempos. The complete class is four miles, but you can come late or leave early to shorten your routine and work at your own level. A few of the dvds incorporate resistance bands (always optional). Some class members add light hand weights for added strength training. Stop by and give us a try. New members are always welcome! We meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:45 to 8:45 am in The Lodge Ballroom. Class is free! For more information, contact Karen Tuvim (951) 599-4236. Join us for the Cardio & Strength Class taught by Certified Instructor Shannon Ramsey. This class is the perfect way to work on strength, balance and endurance! We use exercise bands and one, two, or three-pound weights to increase our strength and balance, while simple step routines to perfectly choreographed music help build our cardio endurance. Best part… it's completely modifiable to a chair routine so you can work at your own ability level. Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time.
