Garden Club The OHCC Garden Club Board would like to take this opportunity to let our members know how much each of you are appreciated as members of the OHCC Garden Club. It is with sincere gratitude that we extend our appreciation to our long-time members as well as to those of you who joined for the very first time this year. This certainly has not been the year we expected. We kicked off 2020 with enthusiastic plans in place for guest speakers, the annual OHCC garden tour, our annual plant sale - and much more. Then as you know, the onset of COVID-19 changed everything. We thank each of our members for 'bearing with us' through the limits that this pandemic has handed us. As Board members, we shared your disappointment as we began to cancel meetings, garden tours, guest speakers, fund raisers, and other regular events in response to the stay-at- home orders. Even though we cannot do 'business as usual,' please know that we are still working on your behalf. Because of various cancellations, we have been meeting monthly via Zoom; now we're planning ahead so we will be ready to hit the ground running when restrictions are lifted. One small way that the Club can thank each of you is to extend your 2020 membership dues into 2021. In other words, all of our current members are now paid up through 2021 (no need to renew in January). We sit prepared to launch wonderful programs and events as soon as we are able to do so. In spite of the pandemic, we are grateful to live in such a beautiful community where we are surrounded by gardens and where flowers have been blooming at their best. We wish each of you good health and encourage you to reach out to us if we can help you with resources and/or information related to the upkeep and care of your gardens.
