We welcome new members. Couples Golf Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. Beginning Oct. 1, we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time at 9 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Doreen Bryant, (909) 595-1974. Lady Niners Even though we have all been slowed down because of COVID-19, the Lady Niners have been able to enjoy our Eclectic Tournament in July and our Club Championship Tournament in September. It has been wonderful to see so many of our members who have been away, but who are now back playing golf. Great to see them back! If you have not yet returned to golfing because of COVID-19 or the hot weather, October would be an ideal time to get back and enjoy the company of your Lady Niners. Just call "Teri" at (951) 591- 2565 on the Monday prior to the Thursday on which you would like to play. She will get you all set up. Lady Niners play 9 holes of golf on the championship course. Some of us carry GHIN handicaps, thus giving us the opportunity to play tournaments both at Sun Lakes or elsewhere. Hope to see you all out there and enjoying yourselves.. Women's Golf Last month we welcomed a new member, Kari Steinwart to the Women's Golf Club. Kari moved into Sun Lakes on Aug. 25 and played her first game with us two weeks later. She previously golfed the courses at Tukwet and Yucaipa and is now playing weekly with our club. Welcome Kari! On the Championship Course, every Thursday morning is reserved as "Women's Day" to golf. We play organized games weekly and tournaments throughout the year. All games/tournaments are flighted which gives the opportunity to all players to win scrip. A small fee of $3 weekly is charged to your club account. We payout both gross and net scores. Last month we held our prestigious Club Championship Tournament. We will announce the newly crowned champion in next month's article. Due to the early submission date for Lifestyles, the tournament has yet to be completed. Thus, the excitement continues. This month our First Thursday game is our special (Pink Ball) game to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month. Each team receives a pink ball at their starting hole. It is an 8 am shotgun start with players driving directly to their starting hole. They will check-in at the Pro Shop window to pay for their round of golf after they complete hole #18 and before teeing off on hole #1. Until further notice, we will continue to check-in using this method. Our first Saturday game is "Blind Nine," check your directory for game instructions. We will have an 8 am shotgun and you may make up your own team or sign-up as a single and you will be paired with others. We welcome new members all year.
