By Gloria Brosky & Brenda Sindorf, 698-7097 It is with great regret that the Colony Garden Club must postpone our long-awaited flower arranging class "Buds, Blooms & BYOB" scheduled for Nov. 18. We tried other ideas for a venue, but we just could not make it work. We have the list of those who signed up and we will contact those people first and then go from there when the Clubhouse opens. We have lots of good ideas to bring to you, including the Colony Garden Tour that had to be canceled. We thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, grow where you are planted! Garden Club Water Aerobics Water Aerobics class is done for 2020… see you all again in April 2021! By Linda H. Kight, 319-0071 Hi to all of our Racquet Club members. It's been awhile since I've written an article for The Colony News. As you all know, there has been very little to write about; however, I want to remind you that any time the courts are open, there are many people playing their favorite paddle/ racquet sport. Most people prefer to come down in the mornings when it is cooler, but there are many brave souls who can tolerate playing in the heat. As I write this the end of September, it is in triple digits but I am hoping it is cooler when you read this in November. If you happen to be interested in learning and/or coming out for paddle tennis, please contact one of our court hosts: Pat Kight (951-760-8681) or Ellen Micheli (951-600-8001). They would be happy to set up a time for you to come down to the courts and learn the basics of the game, or just come down some morning and chat. We are all a helpful bunch and will help you out. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation, we have been unable to conduct our monthly paddle tennis tournaments or attend one of our fantastic Racquet Club dinners in the Clubhouse. We sure do miss seeing everyone. I pray you all are staying well, physically and mentally. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. Take care and be safe.
