The Ocean Hills Anglers and guests have gone out on three fishing
trips this summer in July, August, and September. The Ocean Hills
Anglers went on a one day / overnight fishing trip Sept. 10 and 11,
again on the Voyager with Captain Todd Myer and
crew. There were 16 anglers on this trip with five
Ocean Hills Anglers club members and 11 guests.
There were no Bluefin Tuna within the range of
our overnight trip. Anglers on this trip caught 49
Yellowfin Tuna and 14 California Yellowtail. Everyone
on this trip caught and took fish home. Most of the Yellow Fin Tuna
were in the 10 lb to 20 lb range with a few in the 20 lb to 30 lb range.
The Jackpot was again won by Ocean Hills resident, longtime Ocean
Hills Angler Board and club member Rollin Grider who caught a
28+lb Yellowfin Tuna. The club's Oct. 15/16 one day / overnight trip
was the last trip of the season for the Ocean Hills Anglers.
If you are not sure about joining our club, as a resident you may
join club members on any trip as a guest, providing
there is space available. Log on to the Ocean Hills
Anglers website and our annual calendar is on our
home page.
The Ocean Hills Anglers have a website with lots of
