The Ocean Hills Anglers and
guests went out on their final
fishing trip of the year on Oct. 15
and 16. Captain Todd Myer and
crew of the Voyager took four OHA
members and 12 guests 65 miles south into Mexican waters where
we started the day catching smaller Yellowfin Tuna and Skipjack.
While the fish were not large, there were plenty being caught by all
anglers. Later in the morning Captain Todd took us to a nice kelp
paddy where anglers on the trip caught limits of Dorado and smaller
Yellowtail. Anglers on this trip caught 54 Yellowfin Tuna, 32 Dorado,
and 28 Yellowtail. Quite a treat to catch some Dorado, even though
they were all south of 10lbs. The Jackpot was won by guest Steve Ford
who caught a massive 9lb. 12oz Yellowfin Tuna.
If you are not sure about joining our club, as a resident you may
join club members on any trip as a guest, providing there is space
available. Log on to the OHA website and our annual calendar is on
our home page.
The Ocean Hills Anglers have a website with lots of information
about our club, fishing conditions, fish preparation, and recipes.
