Swim, Surf & Wellness Pool, Spa and Fitness Updates: The Swim, Surf and Wellness (SSW) Club Board is pleased to report on more opportunities for OHCC residents to exercise and relax. During the months of October and November there has been an expansion of the options for our OHCC residents to enjoy the pool, as well as both Fitness Rooms in the Clubhouse and access to the spa. As a reminder an OHCC resident can easily book one of all four pool areas, the two sides of the spa, and either the cardio or the weight rooms, on one scheduler, which can be accessed by going to the SSW Club website HOME page and click on the swimmer on the right corner of the page. Additionally, Ken Krueger, Robin Ryan, and Frank Tanner have been available to coach residents who sign up for 30-minute swim instruction on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm. To schedule with one of the instructors, please contact the coaches individually (they are all listed in the OHCC directory) or send an email to ohccswimclub@gmail.com. All residents who sign up may still be able to have up to two separate pool reservations during the same week. Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club Elections: The Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club Board held its election for the 2021 officers, via an email ballot, during the last week of October. All current officers were re-elected to serve in their positions for the 2021 Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club Board – Lynne Condé, President; Dr. Kory Ward, Vice President; Bob Clarke, Treasurer and Nel Stingley, Secretary. Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club Wellness Information for December 2020: Two more wellness briefs have been added to the Wellness section of the Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club website. This month Ken Krueger reminds everyone to keep an emergency contact and medications list readily retrievable should a 911-emergency situation arise. OHCC 2021 Dues Day Planning: Swim, Surf, & Wellness Club President Lynne Condé is working with Ed Olsen from the Village Squares, at the request of Jean Hefler, President of Social Club, created a tentative plan for social distancing for this event in January 2021.
