alzheimer's & dementia helpers Our next meeting is Thurs., June 20, at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker will be Shirley Almeida. Her topic will be "Life When You Are Left Alone." Lunch following in our Sun Lakes Restaurant for those who wish. Alzheimer's patients are welcome at this meeting. Drop them at the Arts & Crafts Room for games and entertainment with our very capable volunteers. In April, we were blessed with Lori, who brought in her beautiful English Lab Tré. Lori's daughter also came with two more English Labs. Thank you ladies, we really enjoyed the visit. In May, Susan Brown entertained. Susan has been a regular visitor to our group and we appreciate how generous she has been with her time for us. Our caregiver support group with Kay Perryman is Tues., June 11, at 1 pm, in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. This group is open to all caregivers, not just caregivers to an Alzheimer's patient. Refreshments are served at this meeting. Come enjoy and discuss care giving issues and whatever is on your mind. Meet other men and women going through the same things as you. We meet together every week for fellowship and study. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen, or participate in our discussion of the evening's topic. We're all learning together.
