Motorcycle Club
Our Thursday social lunch rides continue to be popular with
our motorcycle community.
Steve Sarchett led one group out to Pioneer Town, the Old
West motion picture set in the Morongo basin, for lunch at
Pappy & Harriet's. That ride group reported having some good
practice handling 50 mph cross winds back through Hwy. 62 to
Whitewater.
The following week, Steve led another ride south through
Soboba and east up into the mountains then back down
42
through Anza to Old Town Temecula for lunch at Texas Lil's.
As the warmer weather arrives, we shift our rides from the
desert locals to the mountains. We typically leave the Lodge
around 9 am and return midafternoon. The distance traveled
is usually between 50 and 200 miles. The pace is leisurely. If
you have a motorcycle and want to join in on a ride, "come on
out." Our monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday
of the month at 6 pm in the Ballroom. Come join us for some
motorcycle chat and to plan future rides. ~ Howard Lyon
