Neighborly Notes June is shaping up to be another busy month. You may wind up with sticky notes all over your refrigerator so that you don't miss anything! The Outdoor Living Home Tour is Saturday, June 8, from 10 – 4. Entry to the homes and gardens is $5; wristbands go on sale the morning of the tour. More information is available at the front desk in the Lodge. Home tours are a great way to get new ideas for your domicile. Plan to attend The Ravelers Concert in the evening on June 8 at 6 pm. Remember that all proceeds from the sale of tickets go toward improvements for the Four Seasons audio-visual equipment. Do you have some free time June 6 – 9? The Beaumont 95th annual Cherry Festival starts June 6 and continues for four days of celebration. This is the biggest community event each year, featuring games, rides, booths, music, entertainment and, according to the publicity from the city, the "best selection of food and drink that the Pass Area has to offer." The Board of Directors General Session is being held on June 13 at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Take a few hours to attend to see what is happening in our HOA. Listen to the various committee reports and find an involved group that you would like to join. Participate in your community! Father's Day is Sunday, June 16. Many residents will have visiting family members. This is a good time to be sure that you have updated your guest list at the Potrero Gate. And, speaking of updating, please check to see if your Emergency Information Have you updated your emergency information at the Lodge lately? Accidents happen around here and we want to be sure that we can reach your emergency contact in case you can't remember or access their name or phone number at the time of a crisis. Take a moment and let the Lodge Attendant at the front desk know that you would like to update your official emergency information in our records. ~ Cindy Graves By Bobbie Eckel emergency information on file at the Lodge is current. Who do you want notified if you need to go to an ER? Does Euclid Management have phone numbers and names for the nearest relatives or close friends? If you have a pet, it would be wise to make a notation or arrange with a neighbor who could temporarily care for the pet if you are suddenly incapacitated. The old adage is right: Prior Planning Pays! Kudos to the Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) for adding a Pet Rescue Team to their organization. Our furry friends are important parts of our lives and must be considered in total community emergencies as well as individual setbacks! The Valley Symphonic Orchestra Concert will be held on June 14 at 6 pm in the Ballroom. This will be the first of several concerts featuring local / county orchestras. Watch the Breeze calendar for additional events. The Family Feud Game Show sounds like a lot of fun on June 21, 6:30 pm. Tickets will be available through June 19. The duo Escape will be performing at the Amphitheater Series on Sunday, June 23. Enjoy an evening of great entertainment at our own venue. Bring chairs, a light wrap if the evening might become chilly, and plastic glasses and beverage containers. The annual Lavender Festival will be held June 23-24 and 30-31 at the Highland Springs Resort. The event features lavender-inspired foods, treats and a variety of workshops and lectures. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children. For specific names, dates and times of the live musical performances held twice a day, call (951) 845-1151. An evening of light classical music The Diamond Valley Community Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Pricila Chavez Lara, will present an evening of light classical music on Friday, June 14, at 6 pm, in the Ballroom at Four Seasons at Beaumont. The orchestra members are local musicians, ranging in age from teens to seniors. The concert will feature selections by Mozart, Schubert, Bizet, Strauss, and Gershwin. In addition, the orchestra will debut a new piece composed by one of the orchestra's musicians. Come and enjoy an evening of light classical music right here in our own community.
