Welcome 2021! This is the time of year
we take what we learned in the previous
year and build our new hopes and goals.
We reset our perspectives and dive in
with renewed fervor. How do we find that renewed fervor when it
seems we are all starting this year off at our boiling point? Recently
I read an article about stress (imagine that). The article talked about
the importance of celebrating the finish line. More and more we seem
to make our finish lines immediately turn into start lines for the next
project never really acknowledging or letting ourselves exhale. The
year 2020 was full of stops and starts and more stops. Our finish line
seemed to be ever changing and then we weren't allowed to have our
final celebration. If you feel like a champagne bottle shaken and your
cork is ready to pop, you are not alone. Hopefully the simple act of
tossing that 2020 calendar in the trash or fire can give you the feeling
of a new start. Out with the old and in with the new.
As 2021 unfolds I am hopeful we will be able to gather for
entertainment purposes. We will adapt to the allowable numbers
and by golly we will enjoy ourselves!
