| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2021 | 47 Executive Men's Golf We welcome men golf enthusiasts to join us for some great golfing experiences on the Championship Course on Wednesdays. Scheduled this month is the February Quarterly Tournament (Individual Stroke) and the first leg of the Eclectic, for those who which to participate, on Wed., Feb. 3. For those who are still working, we hope you can join us on Sat., Feb. 20 for the Three-In-One Tournament. Our Annual Membership Appreciation and Awards Banquet that was to be held on Jan. 22 was canceled due to COVID-19. So, the Ollie Perreira Award for the Men's Club 2020 Member of the Year was presented to Dennis Stancik by the Board in a special presentation in recognition of his exemplary spirit of golf, leadership, and contributions to the success of our club. Dennis has also been a past Club President and Captain of Team Play competitions. We are looking for new members to join us and for past members to renew their membership. The dues are $70 ($34 goes towards men's club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / GHIN handicap). Membership forms are available in the Main Golf Pro Shop. Men's Golf The Executive Men's Golf Club meets every Friday morning at the North Clubhouse for shotgun starts. From October through June we meet at 8:30 am for a 9 am tee time and during July through September we meet at 8 am for an 8:30 am tee time. The par 60, 3,019-yard Executive Course is SCGA rated and consists of six par-3 and three par-4 holes on each nine to challenge and develop your short game. We play a monthly tournament on the third Friday to test your skill against other members. Our next three tournaments for 2021 are: Individual Stroke on Fri., Feb. 19 Irish 4-Ball (Pick Your Partner) on Fri., March 19 4-Man Scramble (Computer Generated) on Fri., April 16 We are open to any male Sun Lakes resident who is interested in golf, fun, and camaraderie. Saturday Morning Golf Are you still working and looking for a weekend golf option? Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15.
