| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2021 | 11 When Dec. 31 rolls around I've seen enough of the color RED because of the wonderfully colorful array of Christmas decorations, but it sure makes January look so drab in comparison. Well, here comes February with extra availability of RED hearts filled with an assortment of chocolates and beautiful RED roses. RED wine is also high on my list – so, I keep it handy year round. I'm sure you have all noticed that COVID-19 is still around. It has ground us to a halt like a giant RED stop sign when it comes to dining out. That forces us to do to-go meals only. The Thanksgiving menu went over well with 175 to-go meals ordered. Christmas Eve to-go meals were enjoyed by 149 people, with just 104 to-go meals for New Years Eve. Certainly not nearly close to the good old days, but Francisco and staff do so appreciate your patronage and backing in trying to keep him open and operating. Please continue to avail yourselves of this service. Valentines Day is Sun., Feb. 14 and you know you don't want to cook – so let your Valentine know which item is your meal choice, then make the call! The menu choices are Prime Rib, Sweetheart Chicken (double chicken breast like a heart) and Salmon. Again meals need to be pre-ordered, prepaid and picked up, watch for the blast with more details! I like to mention once again, thanks for the nice comments about the food at the Bistro on "Next Door," very much appreciated! Last month when I mentioned that Tyrone Horn (our only male on the committee) had retired, I didn't include our BOD liaison Greg Rockvam, who certainly is a great help to us when we need information or assistance. At our Jan. 5 meeting, none of us ladies wanted to volunteer to take over as chair person. Finally Greg said, "Who writes the article for the Herald?" I responded that I was guilty. He said, "That's the job of the Chairperson." Greg nominated me, we all laughed, they voted, and here I am. I didn't even need to campaign! I hope everything else is that easy! So the red colors will be subdued until July when the red stripes pair up with white stripes and join a rectangle of patriotic blue with white stars that will furl in honor of our independence, respect of country, service people and our flag. Be safe — be well! That's me, Patt double"T" Bistro Committee
