4 | THE COLONY NEWS | APRIL 2021 | HOA NEWS Presented by The HOA Board of Directors The HOA Board of Directors is pleased to begin a new forum to keep all residents informed on a more frequent basis of the news, actions, and current direction undertaken by the Board. • The Board adopted a $3 a month ($255) assessment increase which equates to $36 a year. • Activities Director, Kara Hardy, is in discussion to bring COVID-19 vaccines to the community. • The Golf Course receiver continues to turn a profit each month. They now serve breakfast and lunch (Friday-Sunday) and hope to expand these days and begin to offer a dinner menu. • The next Court Hearing is scheduled for March 10 where the receiver will report to the Judge the condition of the Golf Course and update progress in complying with the Judgment. Kara will provide in a separate eBlast information on how residents will be able to login and listen to the hearing. • The Board has been collecting information on the potential to enclose the outdoor pavilion located near the BBQ area. A full disclosure and Town Hall meeting is being planned to disseminate information and answer questions. • Our Maintenance staff has plans in place and is prepared to reopen our various facilities once allowed by the State and County. Moving into a residential gated community that is governed by CC&Rs is often difficult. However, when moving into that community we are aware that there are guidelines to abide by that exist for the greater-good for all who live in this beautiful community. While our Newsletter and Board meetings remain our official communications to residents, we recognize the need for more timely resident updates in anticipation of changes in COVID-19 status that will hopefully allow us to open more of our amenities over the next few weeks and address other topics of interest to the community. Please be looking forward to these updates and feel free to communicate comments and concerns through the Administration Office, at (951) 677-4341.
