We could not be more pleased with the service they provided for our family. ~ The Bobik Family ROBERT BOBIK 11/29/1931 - 3/28/2021 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised Dec. 19, 2019 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE IV – General Rules), at its March 24, 2021 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its June 23, 2021 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the May 2021 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect July 1, 2021. Purpose: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to change Section 3.04 of the Sun Lakes Rules and Regulations as last amended Dec. 19, 2019, to comply with new California Civil Code Section 4741. Effect: The effect of the rule change will be to eliminate the language from Section 3.04 of the Rules and Regulations which mandated a minimum rental lease period of one year and did not allow for possible rentals of accessory dwelling units or junior accessory dwelling units. Proposed Rule Change Paragraph 3 of Section 3.04 of the Association's Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to read in full as follows: 3. No owner shall be permitted to rent or lease his/her/their property for a period of less than 30 consecutive days. An accessory dwelling unit ("ADU") or junior accessory dwelling unit ("JADU") may be installed upon a Lot following prior application to and receipt of architectural approval from the Master Architectural Committee and receipt of approval and a permit from the City of Banning. Any such ADU or JADU may be rented or leased by the owner for residential purposes, subject to the CC&Rs and the Rules and Regulations, for a term of not less than 30 consecutive days. This proposed rule change is scheduled to be considered by the Board of Directors at its open Board of Directors' meeting scheduled for March 24, 2021. In the meantime, members may review and offer comments upon the proposed rule change. Comments may be submitted for the Board's consideration via e-mail to the Executive General Manager or members may attend the open Board meeting to offer comments at that meeting.
