Welcome back to the Lodge! Everyone is enjoying the return to playing
games and seeing friends. Even though the numbers of residents have
been limited and masks are frustrating for some, it is delightful to hear the
buzz of conversation and laughter down the halls. At the time of writing
this, BINGO is getting worked out. Our first Music on the Plaza is scheduled for June 15! Watch your
emails for this exciting update.
As The Lodge has progressively opened the last couple of months, many of you have complimented
on the beautiful mantle arrangements. Wanting to share some beauty with the community, Nancy
Hawkins and JoAnn Sopata volunteered to decorate the mantle for different seasons/holidays. Tim
Gross, our Facilities guy, gets his steps in. We don't dare count how many times he
climbs the ladder on decorating day. They are very creative; most of the decorations
come from our storage with very little additional cost for the Association. The joy
they share is priceless.
Team Sunshine will be hosting the annual Health Fair on May 6 in the Ballroom
from 10 am to noon. It's open to all residents of Four Seasons.
This month as we honor mothers, let's consider helping new mothers that may be
struggling with a diaper (sizes 3 and 4) and wipes donation. We have our collection
barrels in The Lodge. The Valley Community Pantry has also identified other needed
items including macaroni and cheese, dry rice and/or beans, Ramen noodles,
powdered milk, oatmeal canisters or individual packets, and any brand or size of
cereal.
Your generosity, enthusiasm, and encouragement are why this community thrives
even in the worst of times. I look forward to meeting more of you face to face every
day. See you at The Lodge!
