| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA A Summer of Uncertainty: Our community as well as our surroundings have greatly been impacted by the COVID-19 virus. Over the last 15 months, many changes have taken place and we have spent more time at home than ever before. We are not certain of the future and having to submit articles three weeks early makes this more challenging in what I write to you about. So, what's been going on? The management staff has have been assisting residents with permits, RFID tags and answering questions regarding what is opening. The good news is as of April 6, we went to the orange tier and hopefully, if the numbers continue to trend downward, we'll be in the yellow tier before the summer is over! The janitorial staff and management continue to clean and sanitize The Lodge fixtures and are wiping down anything being touched. Eblasts are going out immediately to inform residents of the latest mandates and to provide factual information from various agencies. Our Activities Director has combined her efforts with the Sunshine Team to put on fun events while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Speaking of the awesome Sunshine Team, THANK YOU FOR STEPPING UP TO HELP RESIDENTS! Thank you for always being there for residents in their time of need. You are spreading much needed sunshine! Thanks also go out to the Emergency Preparedness volunteers and Auxiliaries for always being available and offering assistance to residents to get online deliveries. The Board is scheduling the opening of the CC&R Ballots on May 26. There are still over 350 owners who have not submitted their blue envelopes! Please check with your neighbors; it is very important that we have as many owners participate in this process as possible. FYI: Masks are still required when entering The Lodge and when lounging at the pool and in the gym. Welcome Securitas Security! Securitas started on March 29 and we have heard from many residents that they (and we) are pleased with their performance. We are reminding residents to please log any guests or deliveries into dwellingLIVE so all guests can be checked into the system. There are several reasons for this. If you need help, please call the front desk, not the gatehouse. Summer Pool Monitoring: The Lodge is still closed to guests at the time of this writing, and if/when we go to the yellow tier, the Board will discuss allowing guests back into the facility. As of now, there is no need for a pool monitor this summer, but that could change depending on when guests are allowed. Keeping you informed: Folks, if you are not receiving our email, PLEASE SIGN UP! If nothing else, this historical time has made all of us aware of the importance of keeping up electronically with current events and issues that affect you as a resident. If you read the Board's message, they welcomed the newly elected Board and so do we. Our management team's goal is to partner with the Board and ensure they receive accurate information from the committees, continuing education on current HOA legislation, expertise and support in their decision-making process. This community has greatly benefited from the past Board's experience, wisdom, and knowledge. Finally, on this upcoming Memorial Day, let us all pause to remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made. To all of our resident veterans, we say "thank you for your service!" We owe all of our military a huge debt of gratitude for their service, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country's freedom. Hopefully soon, we can go back to giving out handshakes and hugs. We miss giving and receiving them! May you and your family have a safe and peaceful Memorial Day! RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT: YOUR CLAIM TO FAME. It is amazing the information we learn when reading a person's obituary. So many times we hear the comments about how we wish we knew this information before a person passed. In a community this size, we have an opportunity to meet and get to share common interests with those we may never have met. Please submit a small bio and picture to the Herald (300 word limit) by the 8th of the month. Email submissions to hemetherald@yahoo.com.
