"With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning!" We find in reviewing our inputs to the Herald that there are always key words that define this wonderful group of volunteers: "caring," "service," "connection," and "concern" are only a few. Team Sunshine continues to be of service to this community in whatever way we can during the quarantine. We need to convey again that we are an all-volunteer team. There is no charge for our services. As more restrictions are lifted, Team Sunshine looks forward to being able to meet and plan our focus for the coming months. On May 6, Team Sunshine once again hosted the Health Fair. It was wonderful to see members of our community whom we had not seen in many months. Celebrations/Memorials: Team Sunshine received word of the passing of Tanny Fabia, Doyle Braden and Delores Conlon. Our sympathies go out to their families and friends. All families have been contacted and whatever services they needed were provided. The passing of Doyle Braden was especially felt by some of the early members of Sunshine. As shared by Cookie Scott, "Doyle was one of the kindest, most gentle men I knew. He was known for bringing others to Christ. Most of all, after Richard Counts moved, I asked Doyle to be my minister in Sunshine when needed. He was there for a few Celebrations and a couple of programs." We are not always aware of all passings in Four Seasons. We extend our heartfelt condolences to those families who have the burden of a loss in their family that we are not aware of. We can't say it enough how important it is to let us know if you have a neighbor or friend here in Four Seasons who may be struggling with the isolation. Send a note or call us and we'll get the info to our Card and Phone teams. We often receive feedback telling us how much a card or a phone call was appreciated. Prayer Requests: For those wishing prayer, a request box is provided in the Multipurpose Room for your convenience. If you have a request, prayer cards are provided. The cards are picked up weekly and your request will be filled. Marietta Ruppaner collects prayer requests and emails them to members of the prayer team. When COVID-19 restrictions in Riverside County are lifted, the prayer team will resume meeting in person. If you are interested in joining call Marietta. Closing Thoughts: "All I can say about life is, Oh God, enjoy it!" - Bob Newhart 18 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2021 | Team Sunshine
