Philippians 4:8. Spring has arrived and with it more hope for the return to normal activities. Since we do not typically meet during the summer months, we will be contacting regular participants and interested residents regarding plans for the fall. We will continue to be in touch by phone or email, sharing praise reports and prayer requests. Small group gatherings are encouraged. However, the beach, camping, family, friends and travel beckon us out of the Covid lethargy, including the Bible study ladies. Some ladies are so diligent and committed that even while camping they dial in to the lesson. We are still meeting in person in The Lodge Ballroom; however, ladies can still dial in if they are, say, living in Wisconsin now (like one of the members of our class, who calls in every single week!). Or, you're camping with three of your Bible-study-member friends, and one of the ladies dials in and puts the phone on speaker, and voila! they attend class with the rest of us. It's a challenge for the leader to make sure the phone discussion and the in-person discussion can be heard by all, but it's basically working so far. Thank you to all of the committed, wonderful ladies who attend and share each week. We love you! As we continue with our study of Hebrews, we have been taking this study to a more in-depth level, and hopefully the members of our study are learning and growing. I know I am. As soon as this study is completed, we will begin a new seven-week series entitled "How To Be An Amazing Daughter of God." This will be a focused checklist study on seven "C's" to achieve and grow into being a more dedicated and amazing daughter of God. We are still planning our summer party on June 11 in the Ballroom, which will include a lesson, luncheon and other surprises. The theme will be "Pretty in Pink," so you can imagine how much fun we will have with that. Ah, the possibilities! Spring is in the air and this is a time to restore and rebuild. We have waited for a long time to pick up where we left off. I know things are not the same as before, but when people work together miracles happen because we are programmed to win and not to lose. Many were affected by the pandemic but we will not live in self- pity; we will recover. This is the time when we need to step up and encourage our family, friends and neighbors. Laughter goes a long way and a cheerful greeting warms the heart. Let us not forget to pray continually for the children. Remember, they also need lots of hugs, smiles, and encouragement. This is what the Bible says: "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalms 30:5b the AMP Bible. Praying for you. ~ Cookie Bonner Chavurah Jewish Social Club Change is in the air at the Chavurah Jewish Social Club. The Board of Directors of the Chavurah Jewish Social Club had their monthly meeting recently. At the meeting, founding member and president Dr. Zee Knapp announced that she would be stepping down from a position of leadership. In her place, long time member Nancy Justice will be taking over as president. New Four Seasons residents Perry and Tammy Goldstein will be assuming the roles as co-vice presidents. Another change is coming to the club. We have decided to change our name. A new name has not been formally adopted yet. It is anticipated that the new name will be announced sometime later this summer. With all of the changes, we want to make sure and let everyone know that their most popular program, Trivia Night, will continue. It will take a break this summer, during the months of July and August, but will be back in full form in September. The Chavurah Jewish Club is open to anyone who is interested in attending, regardless of religious affiliation.
