Guess what members? We are actually having Sunday golf games.
It's been a crazy year so far; county guidelines and some restrictions
are being lifted. So we will be able to have more events and quarterly
meetings and parties. We thank Cristi Glinoga and Mitzi Taniguchi
for taking care of the first quarterly golf tournaments.
In May's first Sunday of the month, we had our couples best ball
step aside scramble.
Winners for May 2 scramble were:
1st place Jim and Joyce Close and Bob and Michele Walter
2nd place Godfrey and Joanne Williams and George and Sandy
Moyer
3rd place Ray and LaWanda Roberson and Abe and Carla Abreau.
We also had our first luncheon of the year in the South Clubhouse.
Yay! Jersey Mike's grinders, potato salad, macaroni salad, cookies
and yummy brownies were served. Those awesome brownies were
made by our Mary Wilkie. George Moyer held our first meeting of
2021. Many items were brought up and voted on. We also celebrated
the 90th birthday of Jim Close. We even had a chocolate birthday
cake for him and sang Happy Birthday. Jim enjoyed that.
We would like to invite new golfers to join our fun couples club.
You don't need to play every Sunday; play when you like. We play
every Sunday and would love to have you join us! It's only $26 per
couple to join the club. The cost each Sunday is $6 per couple. Our
games for June may be Jack & Jill, Team Waltz, and Friendly Fours.
No game on the 13th due to Charity Week. If you would like more

"Golf?! You hit down to make the ball go up. You swing left and
the balls goes right. The lowest score wins. And, on top of that,
the winner buys the drinks." Not sure who said it, but whoever did
understands the game; at times it doesn't make much sense.
