If so, and in case you missed the big announcement in the May issue, Sun Lakes has a new club – The Sun Lakes Wine Club - "Les Vieilles Vignes." The club will create a social environment around a common interest, the love of wine, so that members can learn about many different types of wine and how to pair them with foods from around the world. Membership applications are now being accepted and dues for 2021 are $20 per person. The club is open to all Sun Lakes residents. There will be a separate charge for wine pairing events. Applications for membership are available in the Main Clubhouse Lobby in the club information rack located next to the information desk. Having had our first official meeting in 2021 with creative juices exuding, our first ambitious variety show endeavor is due to be recorded for channel 97 very soon. Be sure to keep an eye out and an ear to the ground so you won't miss seeing it. Our club meets on the first Tuesday of every month in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, stage-side at 1 pm. Between now and then, consider marking your calendar for June 1, if you've got the "acting bug" or are curious to learn what goes on behind the scenes where there is a myriad of intrigue. Attend the next meeting, catch a spark of our excitement and become part of the joy of theater (our dues are meager). For further enticement, check out the NEW acting class offered just in time to prepare for auditions to get a role in our proposed fall mystery dinner theater. Sun Lakes Playhouse presents Acting Classes Meet & Greet Join us June 5, from 1 to 2:30 pm in the Ballroom (stage side). You will meet our instructor Mary Flynn and learn about our classes and future Playhouse activities. Classes begin Mon., June 21 and will consist of five Monday sessions.
