By Brenda Sindorf, 698-7097 It's finally here – a date for the Colony Players Theater Group's variety show, The Colony's Got Talent, Sock It to Me! Mark your calendar for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23 and 24, at 7 pm. Ticket sales information will be announced in the next few months. This is going to be such a fun production and you just cannot miss it. Come see your neighbors and friends on stage performing their best to give you some worthwhile entertainment. And don't forget, we will have our very own "Laugh-In" team that is certainly guaranteed to make you laugh the entire night. Our talented dancers, singers, storytellers, instrument players and our two emcees will pull it all together. This event has been a long time in the making, and we are so excited to finally be able to be back doing what we do best – entertain! By Marsha Tobolski, 562-244-9223 Summer is upon us, and hopefully the Clubhouse has reopened so that we can hold our workshops on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 3 pm. At the time of this writing, the location is not yet confirmed. If you are interested in attending one or all our workshops, please call me or one of those listed below to confirm the location site. Also, let us know if you are working, as we might be able to have some early evening workshops to accommodate you. We are encouraging anyone who might be interested in the performing arts to attend any of our workshops and become involved in this new adventure, whether as an actor, director, technical support, scenery design, costumes, props, posters and/or program design or any behind-the-curtain responsibilities such as stage manager. Our activities are geared to having fun while expanding our theatrical skills. You may be surprised to discover what talent you have hidden away within yourself! So, join us in this exciting new group! It is our intention to present productions for the enjoyment of our Colony residents and guests, beginning small with one-act plays, skits, improv or readings, and then down the road, with full-length plays. Remember, it is not necessary to attend each workshop, but we encourage you to see what we do and hope you will want to become an active part of our group! Please call Chuck Gordon (661) 714-3847, Alan Scharf (702) 767-3020, Dona Wurzel (951) 325-5378 or me for more information.
