56 56 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2021 | | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2021 | Thank you to the residents who responded to our group's offer in the June issue to come and give us a try. We have been blessed with several new members to our group. Some are new residents, while some have been at Sun Lakes for awhile. Whatever the case is, we are pleased they have joined us. But there is plenty of room for more! Therefore, I am repeating last month's article in hopes that more residents will come and join the fun. This article is being written on June 4 for submission in the July issue. We have been back playing now for several weeks with a fair amount of consistency. One problem our group faces is the number of players that come and play on a regular basis. We welcome all that want to play. Therefore, we invite all who ever played ping pong as a youth, or anytime actually; come join us and rekindle that enjoyable feeling. If you have never played, please come and give us a try. We have newer, top quality tables, balls, nets, and some loaner paddles for your use. We have all levels of players — those who have played for years, including tournament- quality players to those just starting. So again I say, "come give us a try." A fun way to exercise and develop great eye/hand coordination. Just a fun time to be had for those who come. Normally we play Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 4 to 6 pm, and Sat., 10 am to 12 noon in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (normally). Because the Ballroom is such a popular venue for so many varied events, our time slot sometimes gets canceled. Therefore, if you are not a regular attendee, please refer to the Sun Lakes website at sunlakescc.com and click on "Recreation" then click on "Classes," and finally click on "Table Tennis Group" for the current months up to date schedule. You can also check the Main Clubhouse events board across from the reception desk or call (951) 845-2191 for that day's calendar. We have all skill levels currently participating and welcome all newcomers. We have several newer quality tables, and all the equipment is provided free by the Sun Lakes Recreation Department. A fun way to exercise! Please come give us a try. There are no fees. Laced tennis shoes required - no exceptions! For info, contact Roland at (951) 769-3978. Table Tennis/Ping Pong
