26 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2021 | If you had to list your favorite movies that had a patriotic theme or even stirred up the love of country, what would your list look like? Would it include a musical like Yankee Doodle Dandy? Or possibly an action sci-fi thriller like Independence Day. Or an epic love story like Pearl Harbor? Well, I gave this some thought for a little while and came up with this list of some of my favorite flag wavers. Some of these may be your picks as well. 1. Yankee Doodle Dandy 2. Sargeant York 3. Air Force One 4. Casablanca 5. Top Gun 6. Private Benjamin 7. Mr. Smith Goes To Washington 8. Rocky IV 9. Independence Day 10. Men Of Honor 11. Patton 12. The Young Lions 13. The Mortal Storm 14. Hell To Eternity 15. From HereTo Eternity If this list of patriot themed movies sparks a song in your heart for our country's birthday, maybe you can sing it at a Karaoke gathering this Fourth of July with Barb Miller, Rosie Ingalls and myself, D.J. Blast, depending on the quarantine status at that time. Meanwhile we will keep a clean, warm, disinfected microphone on for you as we wish you a Happy Fourth of July from our Sun Lakes Good Times Karaoke group. Karaoke Group Chorale WE'RE COMING BACK!
