The Ocean Hills Anglers and guests went on the
third fishing trip of the year, a ¾ Day on May 13, with
nine Ocean Hills Anglers members and five guests.
Some of the Ocean Hills Anglers members on this trip
wanted to try and fish off Del Mar and La Jolla. Pacific Voyager
Captain Charlie tried to find some yellowtail and other game fish;
however, none were found. We ended up fishing for Calico's and
bottom fish in the Del Mar and La Jolla area. Official fish count: six
California Scorpionfish, 70 Kelp Bass, five Vermilion Rockfish. Many
more fish were caught and released by all anglers on the trip. Jackpot
was won by guest Aki Shinoda with a two lb. Calico.
The Ocean Hills Anglers club has held two Club meetings on the
Palm Court, May and June were at the Clubhouse. We will resume
holding monthly Club meetings in the Mykonos room starting July
13 at 6:30 pm. Stop by and see what our club is planning for the
remainder of the year and join our club.
The Ocean Hills Anglers are offering FREE MEMBERSHIP for
2021. That is right, no $10 fee. You do not need to go on any of the
trips, but when we are once again able to meet in the Clubhouse
monthly and hold our annual Lanai Fish Dinner, you will already be
a member of Ocean Hills Anglers. If you choose to go out on any of
our trips, we will assist with getting you the right gear and let you
know what to bring.
