Founders Duplicate Bridge Friday Duplicate Bridge At long last we are back in the Clubhouse playing Bridge in person. The club has evolved from a professionally directed game with electronic scoring equipment to a casual game with manual scoring and a volunteer director, Sy Singer. A couple of board positions have been vacated and filled by appointment in accordance with the club's bylaws. Ted Mitchell will serve as acting Vice President and Irma Maston as Treasurer for the remainder of the current one-year term. Elections for the following term will be held later in the fall. We welcome Arline Kennedy to our club and hope for additional players to join. Currently we play every Tuesday at 6 pm in the Mykonos room. The table fees of $2 are distributed to the top winning pairs with a portion going to a Christmas party fund. With Duplicate Bridge, your true opponents are the pairs that hold the same cards as you would, rather than your opponents at the table. We are not an ACBL game and for that, we not only offer an extremely reasonable game price of just $2, but also give cash awards to the winners. We are relatively small and have anywhere from five to eight tables. The games are at 1 pm on the second, fourth, and fifth Fridays of the month in Mykonos.
