Happy Fourth of July! | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA It's July already! A couple of items: Home Maintenance: Please be reminded that your home's maintenance is ongoing as the homes are now 16+ years old. The property inspections that management performs will be focused on homes in need of maintenance, painting, landscaping replacement etc. Please take a look at the exterior of your home and if it needs painting, please remember the ARC Standards: "Before commencing with any alteration, modification, painting, landscaping, etc., residents must obtain written approval of the ARC. PLEASE GET APPROVAL FIRST! The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) continues to see applications submitted for work that was done without approval. Please contact Maria Donti if you plan on doing any improvements, or landscape changes outside. A five minute call can save you a lot of grief and money if what you did without approval now has to be returned to its original condition. Another subject for this month's article: Picking up after your pets! Pet owners please refrain from letting your dog urinate on your fellow neighbor's lawns. Residents work very hard to keep up their lawns and with summer here, the challenge increases with the heat. Urine kills the grass unless it is immediately diluted with water. The corner lots that have grass seem to be more of a target. If you bring a bottle of water with you, and your dog goes on someone's lawn, pour some water on the spot. At least it'll help dilute the urine. I also want to mention dogs going number two, and remind residents that you are responsible for picking up after your dogs. Please be a responsible pet owner. Based on some of the current news showing several of our major lakes (Powell and Mead), I anticipate the Governor announcing a water emergency very soon. So, with that said, if you haven't tested your sprinkler system within the last four to six months, please do so. This is about saving water. We've been preaching this message for quite a while now to protect the association's asphalt roadways which we are continuing to evaluate and monitor. May you and your family have a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July! There is a lot to be thankful for. RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT: YOUR CLAIM TO FAME. It is amazing the information we learn when reading a person's obituary. So many times we hear the comments about how we wish we knew this information before a person passed. In a community this size, we have an opportunity to meet and get to share common interests with those we may never have met. Please submit a small bio and picture to the Herald (300 word limit) by the 8th of the month. Email submissions to hemetherald@yahoo.com.
