Scheduled this month is our Quarterly tournament combined with the third leg of the 2021 Eclectic on Wed., Aug. 4. If you did not get a chance to sign up for the Eclectic, you still can. There are two rounds left. Also, your Net score for this event will be used to qualify for the 2021 President's Cup. This year's Member/ Guest tournament is to be held on Sat., Aug. 21. A special annual event you do not want to miss. For those who have not participated in a Men's Club tournament, we start gathering an hour before the tournament's shotgun start near the Main Golf Club Pro Shop and the putting greens to register and provide cash for the optional golf skill competitions (i. e., Closest to the Pins, Hole in One, and Circle Hole). See the picture at right from a recent 2021 tournament. We would love to have new resident or recently retired golfers join the Sun Lakes Men's Club. The dues are $70 ($34 goes towards men's club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / GHIN handicap). Membership forms are available in the Main Golf Pro Shop. Men's Golf The Executive Men's Golf Club is open to any male Sun Lakes resident who is interested in golf, fun, and camaraderie. All levels of players (beginners to experienced) are welcome. We meet every Friday morning at the North Clubhouse for shotgun starts. From October through May we meet at 8:30 am for a 9 am tee time and during June through September we meet at 8 am for an 8:30 am tee time. Come join us! Dues are only $20. Membership forms are available in the North Pro Shop or on the EMGC website. You can also contact our membership chairman David Amar at (951) 402-3059. We have a tournament on the third Friday of each month to test your skills against other members followed by a catered lunch and regular club meeting. The month of August we will have our Club Championship to be played on Wed., Aug. 18 and Fri., Aug. 20. Following the Friday round of the tournament is our quarterly meeting and a catered lunch in the North Clubhouse.
