The month of August was named in honor of Emperor Augustus Caesar, the grandnephew of Julius Caesar, by the Roman Senate. This explains the definition of August: marked by majestic dignity or grandeur. For many of us, this month was a time when summer vacations were nearing an end and we were preparing to send our children back to school. It's nice to know that now we can take a "vacation" whenever we please. With the CC&Rs and Bylaws updated and revised, work will now begin on our Rules & Regulations. Prior ad-hoc committees have reviewed these documents, making changes as needed. It is time to do this again with an ad-hoc committee of residents. We thank the volunteers who donate their time and energy to keep our governing documents current and pertinent. The primary purpose of the Rules & Regulations is to protect the investment of every homeowner and provide a common framework for neighbors. Simply put, HOA rules are rules that members of an HOA community must follow. These rules exist to regulate members' behavior within the association. They are legally binding and enforceable. This is a good time for all of us to read the Rules & Regulations and to know exactly what they are. They include much information that affect our daily lives, regarding such topics as: Pets, Pool, Parking, Guests, etc. Our objective is to complete this work by the end of this year. Teamwork plays an important part in getting things done at Four Seasons. Your Board relies on input and recommendations from our committees, our vendors, management staff, and individual residents before making any decisions. The decision making process includes the following steps: Step 1: Identifying the purpose of the decision. Step 2: Gathering information. Step 3: Establishing principles for judging alternatives. Step 4: Brainstorming and analyzing different choices. Step 5: Evaluating each alternative. Step 6: Selecting the best alternative. Step 7: Executing the decision. Step 8: Evaluating the results. Teamwork is what makes our community a great place to live. We are an active adult community, with the emphasis on "active." Working together will lead to positive outcomes and success. At the June Board meeting, Jerry Hawkins tendered his resignation. He and Nancy will be moving to Ohio. We thank both of them for their contributions to Four Seasons and wish them the best. We are now experiencing the hot days of the year. Watch out for your neighbors, and stay hydrated - the best thing to drink is good old H2O. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted… Aesop Message from the Board of Directors 2 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2021 | Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board of Directors, Greg Rockvam, Cliff Post, Tony Criscenti, Roxy Snider, and Fred Kydd Jim Crase President
