Performing Arts Club After your own fantastic barbeque or picnic lunch, don your red, white and blue and your toe-tappin' shoes, and c'mon out to our patriotic show on July 4, at 2 pm. There'll be something for everyone — lots of music, singing, dancing, a piano solo, magic, comedy and a sing-along. You won't want to miss this opportunity to celebrate America's Independence Day and the many freedoms which we enjoy. See you there! Besides the scheduled upcoming Radio Show on Oct. 4, and Holiday Show on Dec. 6 and 7, the PG-55 show is also beginning to form. What do we mean by PG-55? Our censorship is a little more relaxed for the skits, songs, etc., and children under 55 would be left saying: "Huh?" However, because we are also a sophisticated group, of course there will be no vulgarity allowed. It's all in adult fun and humor. Keep your antennae up for other PAC possibilities: A Laugh-in type show; a trivia show, and of course the Broadway Musical Medley show. A Gong Show (complete with a Simon Cowell look-alike) is also in the works. So if you don't care if people boo you off stage, the Gong Show is your ticket to Four Seasons stardom! Please note that we will also sponsor a 50/50 raffle at each of our events. The funds will go directly to ESC for the purchase of curtains for the stage, as well as sound-absorbing materials for the Ballroom performances. So bring your wallet and contribute to a good cause. (Of course, you could win the other 50 percent of the buckolas, you know!) If you want to share your talent or are interested in contributing to a great club, please check with the front desk and fill out an entry form which will be given to a PAC officer, and you will be contacted. You don't even have to come to the meetings (which are the fourth Tuesday of every month in the Conference Room, if you really would like to get involved). We need you, your ideas and talents! Help us out here! ~ Eileen Gilbert 32 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2013 | clubs & Groups Four Season Singers We hope you enjoyed our patriotic singing at the 4th of July show. We will be taking the summer off but will start singing again at the end of August or first of September. Please check future issues of your newsletter. We will again meet in the Ballroom on Mondays from 3:30 to 5 pm. As always, if you are interested in the Singers, you can contact me at (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@ dc.rr.com or come to any Monday rehearsal. See you at the end of the summer! ~ Barbara Wasco Classical Music Club Do you have an interest in our classical music club? Not just listening to classical music and going to concerts, but talking about the music and the composers who created it. If so, join us on July 11, at 7 pm in the Lodge. Info., Steve Benoff at steve.benoff@verizon.net, or (310) 413-4896. ~ Steve Benoff
