ACCESS CONTROL

The Access Control and Safety Advisory Committee's monthly report is
composed of statistics generated from The Colony's previous month's activity as
provided by Nordic Security. Those statistics are as follows:
• A total of 25,749 gate entries were recorded, comprised of guests, recreational
vehicles, vendors and golfers.
• Nordic Security performed the following duties: property and welfare checks,
issuing citations for failure to stop at a stop sign, speeding, medical emergencies,
resident, vendor, and guest parking violations, trash can violations, barking and
loose dogs, trespassers, illegal use of gate procedures and tailgating.
• Community Patrol observes 20 to 30 open garage doors per month during
the late evening hours through early morning and places calls to the residents
to remind them to close their garage doors. This is a safety issue, so please
remember to close your garage door upon returning to or leaving your residence
– and double check that it is closed before you retire for the night.
