July 4th Golf Cart Parade Don't miss the annual 4th of July Golf Cart Parade! For residents who want to watch, the carts will be turning right out of the Main Clubhouse this year, then right on Riviera, followed by a right back onto Country Club Dr., then into the Main Clubhouse parking lot. The opening ceremonies, Precision Stardust Dancers, award announcement, and parade kickoff will all happen from inside the Main Clubhouse parking lot. For parade participants, application packets for the Golf Cart Parade and Classic Cars are available at the front reception desk at the Main Clubhouse. The theme for this year's celebration is "Made In America." We will be offering ribbons and gift certificates to the restaurant for the following six categories: 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Most Original, Most Creative, and Spirit Award. The deadline to register your cart is Mon., July 1. The schedule for the day is: 9 am: Parade Judging & Pineapple Jam playing at main entry way 9:45 am: Opening Ceremonies, National Anthem by the Sun Lakes Barbershop Chorus, Presentation of Colors 9:50 am: Awards Announced & Precision Stardust Dance Routine 10 am: Parade starts – turning RIGHT out of the parking lot 11 am: Classic Car Display & BBQ on the Driving Range 11 am – 2 pm: Games, Juggler, Face Painting, Balloon Art, DJ Entertainment on the Veranda, a dunk tank (three throws for $1… a list will be created soon for the people you will be able to dunk!), and snowcones for $1. 2012 Winning Golf Cart Parade Entry by Jeromy Ward.
