JULY GENERAL MEETING:
David Fairrington will
demonstrate his oil technique at the Art League General Meeting
on Sun., July 21, at 2 pm at the South Clubhouse. The meeting is
open to all Sun Lakes residents. You will have the opportunity to
talk with current members, view work shown at our mini-show,
and see a demonstration by an experienced artist. We hope to
see you there and are sure you will enjoy your visit.
The winners of the mini-show at the May meeting are pictured
to the right. The first, second and third place winners are chosen
by those at the meeting. The Best of Show is chosen by the demo
artist at that meeting.
MONDAY MORNING CLASSES: Monthly classes are held on
Mondays in the Arts and Crafts Room at the Main Clubhouse
from 9 am to 12 pm. Guest artists teach a variety of media
including oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolors. The classes are
for all levels of experience. Local artist Sharon Rachal will teach
watercolors and/or acrylics on the first four Mondays (July 1, 8,
15, and 22). Members will be given priority in signing up for
the class, but non-members may be put on a waiting list. The
monthly fees for the class are $40 for members and $45 for nonmembers. Info., Ramon Salcido at 845-8932.
