| OHCC LIVING | SEPTEMBER 2021 | 25
The spirit of creativity is alive and well in OHCC! We are a
group of friends who love working in the arena of fabric-based
crafts… and we would love to have you check us out!
The Kneedlers and Hookers (knitters and crocheters) gather
on Tuesdays from 4 to 5:30 pm, where you can pick up a new skill,
share, or visit. Tuesday evenings (6 to 8 pm) and Fridays (12 to 3
pm) several quilters, crocheters and sewers get together for "Sew
& Chats." These gatherings are loosely structured and serve the
soul as much as the craft.
We have a meeting at 9:30 am on the first Thursday of every
month to conduct our necessary bit of business, but mostly we
look forward to "Show & Tell," which follows the meeting.
Free workshops are given on the third Thursday of every
month. In September, we will be explaining the felting process.
It is a knitted or crocheted piece that doesn't look knitted or
crocheted when finished! The open class will be from 9 am to 12
noon, Sept. 19 in the Sewing Club Room.
If you are interested in participating in our activities and are not
sure who to reach out to for further information, please call Chris
Sanderson (858) 442-1834, or MaryLu Belisle (952) 454-1931 for
more information. Also, please visit our website, lovingly updated
by Terri Eckhardt, http://ohccsewing.wixsite.com/ohccsewing.
All are welcome to join us. Dues (normally $7 per year) are
waived for 2020 members renewing in 2021. We look forward to
seeing you.
