The Ocean Hills Anglers and guests went on their sixth fishing
trip of the year, a 1 ½ day trip on Aug. 1 to 3. Captain Todd of the
Voyager took us ~ five miles east/southeast of Catalina Island where
16 anglers on the trip caught 26 Bluefin Tuna, averaging 40 lb. each.
Jackpot was won by long term Ocean Hills Angler Len Holness who
landed approximately a 65 lb. Bluefin Tuna.
The Ocean Hills Anglers Club held its second club meeting in
the OHCC Clubhouse on Aug. 10 at 6:30 pm. At this meeting Club
members and guests had an opportunity to purchase used fishing
gear at the Ocean Hills Anglers annual silent auction. Also, in August
the Ocean Hills Anglers held its summer Lanai party, and 120
members and guests enjoyed some great smoked and grilled Bluefin
Tuna, and a variety of food from Bobby's Hideaway. A good time was
enjoyed by all who attended.
