On Sat., Sept. 11, we will be presenting a new and different art show. It is called the "ART WALK." It will be a non-judged show, and for the first time here in Sun Lakes, the artists will have the option of selling their works of art. Each artist will have their own table with several pieces of their art work on display, and each artist will be present to discuss their artistry and their methods. The show will include many types of art including watercolor, oil, acrylics, pastel, mixed media paintings, drawings, china and porcelain painting, pottery, photography, wood sculpture, fused glass, jewelry, and fabric art (quilting and needlework). This is sure to be a very enjoyable experience for all attending. So bring your family and friends, meet these incredible Sun Lakes' artists, and possibly find a beautiful treasure you can purchase for your home or as a gift. That's Sat., Sept. 11 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 11 am until 2 pm. FREE ADMISSION! NOTE: There will be no meeting or art classes in September. The next regular meeting is Sun., Oct. 10 in the South Clubhouse at 2 pm. The special guest artist that day will be Sharon Rachal, who will do a watercolor demonstration. In November she will teach the art classes at the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room. 26 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2021 | Art League We are looking forward to having our next get- together on Wed., Sept. 15 at the South Clubhouse at 5:30 pm.
