COMMITTEE NEWS
The Social Committee invites you to kick up your heels and
dance to the music of DJ Nate, who will be spinning hits from
the 50s and 60s. Dinner will be comfort food that you may
remember from way back then, but BYOB.
Ladies, dig into your closet and find that miniskirt, tie-dye
vest or poodle skirt. Gentlemen, find something comfortable
for dancing the night away with your sweetheart, or come
dressed as a favorite character from those eras. Prizes may be
awarded.
We will be selling tickets in the Annex on Thursday, Sept. 16.
We will sell all tickets on a first come-first served basis. For our
new neighbors who might not know the procedure, we hand
out numbers at 8 am. At that point, you will have secured your
place in line and you may leave. Be sure to be back with your
number by 10 am for the actual sale of tickets. Your number
will be called; if you are not present, we will go on to the next
number. If you forget to bring back your number, you will go
to the back of the line. There will be seating provided in the
Annex.
The first sale of tickets is for residents only, two tickets per
household. Tables of 8 or 10 may be purchased with individual
checks. The second sale in the Clubhouse will be a week later,
Thursday, Sept. 23, at 10 am, and these remaining tickets can be
sold for family and friends. Adults only.
Tickets are $20 each and checks should be made payable to
The Colony Social Committee. So, for your convenience we are
having a stamp made that you can use when you purchase your
tickets.
