Using the 2020 Poll results, we were able to make adjustments to our communication delivery to better enhance your experience. This month, we once again ask you to participate in our poll. It will enable us to see how we're doing and if we are putting our efforts towards the most efficient resources. Please see the Poll on Page 12 and submit it prior to Oct. 15 to be entered into a drawing for a $25 Restaurant or Pro Shop gift card. Sun Lakes Committee Reports Library Advisory Oct. 5 is our Library Volunteers Appreciation Luncheon. If you did not receive your invitation, please call (909) 973-3143. Look for our next book sale held in conjunction with the Craft Fair in November. Our Library Advisory Committee will soon be replacing some committee members whose terms have expired. Anyone interested in serving on this committee, please fill out an interest form at the front desk or call (909) 973-3143. Please do not donate books to the libraries published prior to 2012 or those purchased at our book sales. If you have a large quantity to donate, please call (909) 973-3143. Finally our decorating committee is able to begin decorating the Main Clubhouse again. Watch for fall and Halloween, soon to come. Wonderful things are happening here in Sun Lakes. The Recreation Advisory Committee has a new Recreation Director. Her name is Kara Lukasik and she is excited to be here. She is committed to having fun events and new activities. Watch for announcements about the community "Scarecrow Festival" in October. All residents can be involved. How many scarecrows will we see? It will be fun. Also being considered is a Holiday Golf Cart Parade. October and November will bring Pie Socials. Read your Lifestyles Magazine faithfully, watch Channel 97, or check with Good Day Sun Lakes. You will have all the information that you need. Please call the Recreation Department; they also can help you with information that you need. October will also bring the annual Halloween Costume Doggie Parade. As you can see, we are once again up and running here in Sun Lakes. Seeing our Clubhouses, Restaurant and Lounge, and Veranda full of residents enjoying themselves is just plain wonderful. ~ Patricia Elevi, Recreation Advisory Committee Chair, (951) 850-3900 Recreation Advisory We have a very aggressive coyote on the golf courses and green belt looking over the short walls for food and pets. Just beware of an added nuisance along with other critters and animals. If they get in your yard, call Community Patrol. They have helped to get at least one out of a yard on the North Side. We are getting several requests for more speed humps. They are costly and noisy, but we will respond.
