FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021 7 By Cindy Graves This is the month to give thanks and remember some of the incredibly good people who have made this last year fabulous for entertainment here at Four Seasons. Thank you to Phil and Elizabeth Westbrook who worked with me to offer some wonderful dance and trivia events, as well as Dave and Janine Rohrbacker who jumped in to help with karaoke and dances. A big thank you goes to Gail Lindeboom and Micki Rosen for generously offering several "Gail Games" events which have been a total blast, too. Let's not forget all the hard work Mark Lassen and the Amphitheater Production Group put into our three concerts this season and Joe and Sandy Barletta who offered their once-a-month trivia game. All of these volunteers deserve so much adoration for the time spent in preparation and execution of these fun occasions. All the clubs, groups, and classes as well as the Social Committee need a big round of applause for helping us all break out of the quarantine into joyous opportunities for laughter and fun. Stacy Dean, owner of the Kopper Kettle, deserves mucho thanks for being so willing to collaborate with me for themed foods as the extra value package to make many of our events more special. Wow! What a team of generous people invested in the betterment of the community. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am so thankful for you guys and feel so privileged to be working with this terrific group of folks (hey, I just celebrated my 14th year here — on to year 15!). Now for what is happening this month: The Four Seasons Quilters are having a Quilt and Handicraft show in the RCN on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 am to 2 pm. Come on over and check out these marvelous works of art. I think you'll be terribly impressed! Thank you Mary Moody-Cox for helping to put this together. On Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day, we are collaborating with the city of Beaumont for their Veterans Day Parade starting at 10 am downtown. Hopefully everyone who wanted to drive in the parade filled out an application last month. That leaves the rest of us to actually go downtown and watch the parade in honor of those Veterans we know and love. See the city of Beaumont for more information. The next really big deal in November is the MANDATORY club, group, and class 2022 event-date lottery. This is the meeting where clubs, groups, and classes get a chance to vie for event dates for 2022. If your club will only be holding their regular meeting dates and NOT doing any special events, then you can happily stay at home and do not need to attend. The rest of you, I'll see on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 6 pm in the RCN. Please come ready with your first, second, and third choices for event dates. Karaoke will take place on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Feel free to bring your dinner and favorite beverage into the event. Everyone above 21 years of age is welcome and there is no cost to attend. Okay, before I go, I want to give you some fair warning to be sure that you save the dates for the Holiday Extravaganza. The Golf Cart Parade and the community lights will all go on Saturday, Dec. 4. There will also be an amazing professional holiday show on the nights of Dec. 4 and Dec. 5. You can pick either night for the show. The tickets will be free and more info will be coming. Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday and don't forget to thank those around you for being such a wonderful addition to your life! Activities Director Corner
