Bocce Club
September was the third tournament of the year with
six teams participating over three days. The final matches
on Wednesday had many fans and a few cheerleaders
cheering the teams. Everyone stayed for drop-in play
and a social hour. Top honors went to the team of Joan
Comito and Steven Norton. Tournment Director Michael
Simons gives the first place prize money to Joan and Steve.
Total bocce counts for Septemer were 241, still down from the
record 285 in July. The top four scoring ladies are Dea Abdelaziz,
Joan Comito and Pat Stansell (tie-second), and Jean Meeks with John
Abdelaziz, Michael Simons and Isaak Ayzenshteyn taking top three
honors for the men.
