| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2021 | 7 This month the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) would like to spot-light the person who supports our Committee and brings help, assistance, efficiency, and professionalism to not only our Committee, but our entire community as well. The ARC consists of five residents who volunteer our time to protect all our property values by reviewing applications by our residents for changes and improvements to the exterior of their homes and properties. Typically, the ARC is now reviewing 20 or more applications monthly. All this effort is supported by our Architectural Representative, Maria Donte, an employee of FirstService Residential, our Professional Management Team. Ms. Donte brings years of experience with HOA's to her position. Having completed five years here with Four Season Hemet, she also has years of prior experience with an HOA in Temecula. So who is Maria Donte? She is also a native of Olathe, Kansas who was raised primarily in Orange County, California. She is a mother of five children, and moved close to our Four Seasons Community with her husband when we were fortunate to have her join our Management Team. She not only supports the ARC and all residents who seek ARC approval, but is also support to the Landscape Committee and liaison with our common area landscape maintenance contractor, Artistic Landscape Maintenance. She is also responsible for community inspections and insuring the continued maintenance of properties in compliance with our Community Rules and Regulations. If you feel that our community looks great, Maria is a major contributing factor. If you are planning ANY change to the exterior of your home please contact Ms. Donte. Her expertise will guide you through the process to best achieve approval from the ARC. You can contact her at (951) 325-8188 or maria.donte@fsresidential.com. The ARC also wishes to thank all our homeowners for your pride of ownership and continuing efforts to maintain and improve your property. Architectural Review Committee Facilities Committee The primary objective of the committee is to maintain the common areas of our property in first rate condition. We also look for areas to improve the property with suggestions from residents and observations from the committee members. The storage building and the barbecue shade structure are examples of capital projects completed in the past that began as discussions within the committee of ways to improve our common experience. As wear and tear occurs on property (chairs, tables, carpet, etc.), the committee reviews the best way to fix these. Sometimes it is repair, sometimes it involves replacement. Options are discussed and researched (including checking the reserves that have accrued to cover the costs of each item). While our monthly inspections are designed to catch problems before they get to be a bigger issue, residents play a key part in alerting us when something needs our attention. We are fortunate to have Tim Gross on staff to implement repairs on maintenance issues. While some projects need to go to an outside contractor, Tim is able to tackle many on his own (he is a talented "handyman"). Tim also is helpful in monitoring the work of outside contractors to insure quality work is being performed. As always, we welcome your input on suggestions that should be considered to make our community an even better place to call home. Your EPC* and CERT** members had an active month of October. In October members of our CERT and EPC supported the Hemet Fire Department Open House that occurred on Oct. 9. Your EPC presented a free BBQ on Oct. 21 to present information about the Great Shakeout and ideas on what homeowners can do to help mitigate fire dangers to their homes. We hope you learned some valuable information. In November we curtail our activities to enjoy Thanksgiving and the year end holidays. We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. Our Mission The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program is designed to increase individual and community preparedness and self-reliance in the event of man- made or natural disasters. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has officially recognized CERT as an important part of a community's disaster preparedness readiness. Four Seasons CERT continues to need your participation. Become a Street Captain or CERT Auxiliary. Step up. Be a part of the best CERT in the valley, come make a difference.
