Young at Heart In November, our members enjoyed a dinner and wine tasting with each of the courses paired with the perfect complementary wine, including five whites, five reds, an aperitif, and a dessert wine. Next up is a sold-out New Year's Eve Celebration in the South Clubhouse featuring dancing to the ever-popular Retroblast band performing their "Tribute to Classic Rock." Events being planned include an NFL Playoff viewing party and Chili Cook-off in January and a Mardi Gras/Carnival night in February. Other 2022 events will include a comedy show featuring professional comedian Jason Love and others, a block party, and a fun golf tournament. Next fall will see the return of "Dueling Pianos" which will be open to all Sun Lakes residents. Complete details for each event are emailed to all members as plans are finalized. We welcome new members and we are always open to creative new ideas for fun activities. For info, suggestions, or to join Young at Heart, call Michele Walter at (951) 202-8009. Doors open at 5:15 pm. 'Tis the season to be jolly! Can you believe the holidays are here?!? This is the time to celebrate with friends and family... camaraderie, good health, love and lots of laughs. Last year we weren't able to be together, but this year we will. As always, Thomas Catering will be serving a wonderful Holiday Dinner including ham with fruit sauce, OR chicken cordon bleu, yams and scalloped potatoes, green salad, green beans and assorted cheese cakes for dessert. When you put in your reservation for dinner, please indicate if you would like ham or chicken. If you do not, you will be getting ham. She's backā€¦ That fantastic singer of songs, Zelyne! She will be belting out our favorite songs from all decades. You don't want to miss her! Dues are $15 per year and are payable in January. Due to the increased cost of food, as of January, we will be charging $20 for dinner (dues will stay the same). Guests living outside of Sun Lakes and are friends of a resident will be $23 per person. If you live in Sun Lakes you may come as a guest one time only for $23, and then you will want to join the club. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop them off at Maggie Kline's home, 650 Brooklawn Dr. (north side), (951) 797-0694, or put your check and reservation in the basket on the back table.
