| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2021 | 49
Good morning, afternoon, or evening
to all you great Sun Lakers. I hope
you all comfortably survived stuffing
your faces on Thanksgiving. One last
thought about Thanksgiving — in the last
two years each of us has gone through some
really tough times. Even with that said, I still
believe we who live here in Sun Lakes Country
Club are truly blessed.
Now, on to what you all wait very anxiously each month for, my
spellbinding article in our great Lifestyles magazine. And it has
noting do to with RVs.
First, A Very Big Happy Birthday to our following RV members
who have birthdays in December: Brenda Day, Gary Shupe, Jess
Ocampo, Fran Rayner, Jim Alexanian, Michael Smith, Sue Volz, John
Bonagofsky, and Candi Christopher.
Well, to tell you the truth, my brain has been hurting in trying to
produce something that is worth your time and attention. So, here
is what I have come up with. I do not know how this thought came
into my brain but I'm a thinking, how about a Christmas poem. After
looking at many poems, here is what I came up with:
Christmas is forever,
Not for just one day.
For loving, sharing, giving,
Are not to put away.
Like bells and lights and tinsel,
in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others,
Is good you do yourself.
~ By Norman W. Brooks
Now, I want to give everyone a challenge. When you are all sitting
around your Christmas table, before you enjoy all that delicious
food in front of you, I challenge each of you to tell your most favorite
Christmas from your past. We have been, and to some extent, still
are, going through one of the toughest times in our lives and in our
country. Now is the time to fill our minds and hearts with warm
loving thoughts. What better way to do this than talk about your
most personal favorite Christmas experience? Try it. Who knows?
You may even find it fun and enjoyable. Merry Christmas and a very
Happy New Year to everyone.
