30 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2021 Landscape Committee Did you know we have different cost centers for Landscape in our community? One is for all the common areas like The Lodge, Courts, Summit, and all planters and grass along Four Seasons Circle, as well as all the end caps on the inside streets and around the Springdales. Common-area landscape is covered in the base monthly assessment, which includes all 1,853 residences. The second cost center is the Front Yard Cost Center. This is for all association-maintained yards. There are 553 homes in this cost center. These yards are not common area and belong to the homeowners. The Association contracts Park West to mow these yards and maintain the planters. Included in the additional amount these residents pay is the water for the front yard. This cost center is fully paid for by the home owner and is not funded by any of the base assessments. Trees are trimmed during specific times of the year and are done on a schedule. If you are in the Front Yard Cost Center, the trees in your front yard are also trimmed and maintained by Park West. They are also trimmed during specific times of the year. If it is too hot and a tree is trimmed, it is possible that the cut will not heal properly and the tree could suffer and ultimately die. If you have a tree that needs to be trimmed, please do not trim it, but rather open a ticket (see Landscape Concerns link on Daily Report email). Once the ticket is opened the Landscape Committee and Park West will determine if and when trimming should be done. Every Friday morning, the Landscape Committee walks various areas in the community, from the common area to the Front Yard Cost center, to look for plants that are dying or need to be replaced. They look to see if any over/under watering is taking place and adjustments are made. Please do not take it upon yourself to water trees in this area. Everyone is welcome to join and see how the Committee works. You'll also get some exercise while enjoying our beautiful community. Contact us with any concerns by going to the Landscape tab on the Daily Report email. The Landscape Committee meets the third Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the RCN Conference Room. If you have any questions or concerns you are welcome to join this meeting. ~ Kathy Craven kathycravenbod@yahoo.com
