| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2021 | 27
December is always a special time of year for
Quilters. From stashes of holiday fabrics, patterns, and
crafting ideas to choose from, decorating and gifting
is a breeze. Many vendors, shops, and websites offer
deep discounts, promotional financing, and bundled
equipment packages, making it a great time to consider
starting or expanding your quilting space.
Seasons Quilters continues piecing together the
BoHo Heart pattern by Jen Kingwell and Andrea Bair.
Our meetings are always a fun time of sewing and
sharing, and November was no exception. Getting
us ready for the applique blocks in this quilt, several
of our members shared uniquely different techniques
for Appliqué. We will be repeating these techniques, in
addition to sharing new ones, as our BoHo Heart Quilts
continue to take shape.
In Community News, two major transitions occurred
in November: Temecula Quilt Co., located at 33353
Temecula Parkway in Temecula since 2007, closed
the doors on their brick and mortar side, continuing
business online only via their website: temeculaquiltco.
com. They will continue to design fabric for Marcus
Fabrics, write TQC Journal posts and inspire new
projects and fun sew-alongs via the website,
Instagram and Facebook. A little farther south,
Quilters Cottage in Fallbrook, located at 131 E
Fig Street in the downtown merchant area,
shop owner, Jan retired, resulting in a new
and exciting change in ownership. At the
time of this writing, their Facebook page
is the only source posting details of this
transition.
Seasons Quilters meets every first and
third Thursday in the Aerobics Room
from 12 to 4 pm.
