FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2022 7 By Cindy Graves I sure hope everyone had a memorable holiday and that you're ready for new beginnings in 2022. We've got a lot of exciting events for you this year so check out the annual 2022 calendar to get a better idea of what you may be interested in. We're going to start out the year laughing our heads off with "Gail Games" Trivial Pursuit. This is an audience-participation game we'll be holding in the Ballroom on Friday, Jan. 7 at 6 pm. Bring your favorite beverages. There is no price for admittance and winners will receive prizes. Thank you, Gail, for being the best emcee ever! On the following Friday, Jan. 14 at 7 pm, we'll be showcasing the Paul Locke Magic Show we postponed from September. Maybe this show will help us to look for magical moments this new year. It's a free event and everyone is welcome. Perhaps you'd like to have dinner at the Kopper Kettle beforehand and make it "dinner and a show." This event will be theater-style seating, so there will be no tables set up. Jan. 15 is Karaoke in the Ballroom at 5:30 pm. This is a great time to start your new celebrity singing career (at least in our neighborhood). You are welcome to bring your favorite beverages and food to keep your strength up for your energetic performances. Everyone is welcome. National Night Out has always been a great annual event. This year it will be off-the-charts with a giant police BBQ truck and impressive speakers giving us updates on the city. Be sure to check out the Neighborhood Watch article in this issue of the Breeze for more information. Tickets for this exciting event will go on sale at The Lodge front desk on Monday, Jan. 17. The actual event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24. Are you a resident crafter or creator? Well, if you would like to participate as a resident vendor in our upcoming Spring Craft Boutique on Saturday, April 19, we need you to attend the mandatory orientation and table lottery on Jan. 19 at 6 pm. This is where you will draw a number to choose a table/booth. If you are unable to make it, please send a friend to draw for you. The participation fee is only $5 per table. See you there! On Saturday, Jan. 22, we will have one of the most-requested and best-attended events we have, the Four Seasons Clubs, Groups, Classes, and Committee Expo. This is an awesome chance to learn about what some of the clubs, groups, and class opportunities are to help you explore some new interests this year. If your club, group, or class would like to have a table in the Expo, please contact my assistant, Danya, at Danya.Lynd@fsresidential.com no later than Monday, Jan. 17. The Four Seasons committees are also very important for you to check out. If you were unaware, the 12 committees and boards here are the backbone of the Association. These committees are comprised of incredibly generous residents who use their time, talents, and expertise to invest in the community, making it an even better place to live. Check out page 4 of the Breeze magazine and just take a gander at the many ways that you might want to contribute and give back, for just a season or two. Then bring your questions to the expo. The committees and boards are always looking for folks willing to help. It's a great way to bond with your neighbors over something that's important to you, and have a lot of fun in the process. I dare you to get involved! Shhhhh… don't tell. If you do end up deciding to help, we have a special thank you event and luncheon coming up, only for folks on committees and boards. I hope to see you there! Have a great January! Activities Director Corner Last winter at The Summit traffic circle. Photo by Robert Dalton
