| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2022 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Happy New Year! Unfortunately, COVID is still with us, but the good news is that we were able to spend time with family and friends last month. I hope all of you were able to spend some time with them. One wonderful tradition that continued was the beautifully decorated Lodge. JoAnn Sopata and her many volunteers did another awesome job decorating The Lodge. A big THANK YOU to all of the volunteers! We hope you had a chance to stop by and see the beautifully decorated trees and arrangements. I have a lot to go over so will get right to it. January starts up the year for many things that relate to managing your association and following the requirements of the California Civil Code. A couple items worth mentioning are the upcoming annual meeting in April and the 2021 year-end Financial Audit report from the CPA, also due in April. Voting/Election by Acclimation: In December, all owners of record received a "revised" Notice of Upcoming 2022 Election of Directors and Call for Candidates. This notice explains that this year, if the number of candidates is equal to or less than the positions open, the Board can vote to "elect" the candidates without the expense of mailing out ballots. This is a BIG deal and will save the HOA money. The notice also outlines the qualifications to become a candidate. In addition to this, another new requirement is extending the time for submitting Candidate Resumes (forms), from December to the deadline (Feb. 27). These forms are available on the website, and at The Lodge front desk. There will be several other notifications that will be sent via email, posted on the FS website and The Lodge Bulletin Board. **If you haven't signed up to receive emails from us, please see the front desk staff for the registration form. This year, four positions currently held by Tony Criscenti, Greg Rockvam, Barbra Balser and Fred Kydd are up for election. More information to come next month. Housekeeping Item: Please stay off of the golf cart paths! We recently met with the new ownership representative and are establishing a positive working relationship. We need to do our part and honor their request to refrain from walking on the cart paths (unless you paid to play), no matter what time of the day/ evening it is, whether or not you're walking your pets, driving your cart or walking by yourself or with someone. There is plenty of sidewalks and paseos to get your "steps" in the community. So please stay off the cart paths! Lastly, our staff family and I hope that you stay safe and we hope this year brings good health to all of you and your loved ones! Dodger is ready for Christmas. Four Seasons Fur baby To have your fur baby featured here, please send a high resolution photo with a caption to hemetherald@yahoo. com. Please put "Pets" in the subject line.
