Happy New Year! Thank you everyone who attended the November meeting. We had
Joan Burke's Dog Owners Group join us which made it a great turnout. We also want
to thank our guest speakers, Linda Dixon and Kathleen Roberts. They both talked on
behavior issues with dogs. One subject was having issues with continuous barking. You
can purchase online a product called Pet Corrector. It makes a hissing sound when you
spray it. This helps restrain your dog from unwanted behaviors like barking. You never
point it at your dog. But also just using a spray bottle with water can work. It was nice
learning some new techniques when training our dogs.
Our next meeting is Mon., Jan. 17 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
We do not have a guest speaker lined up at this time. We will send out an email when that
information is confirmed. I'm always open to suggestions. Remember you do not have to
belong to our group to attend. All are welcome.
We are still in need of kennel helpers and fosters. If interested, please call me.
Also the Banning Animal Shelter needs volunteers to help clean the cat and kitten
kennels. Being a volunteer at the shelter is so rewarding!
